Unioncamere is the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture – is the public body that unites and institutionally represents the Italian Chamber system.

Founded in 1901, it develops and manages services and activities of interest to the Chambers of Commerce and to the economic sectors they serve, coordinating the System’s initiatives through guidelines and directions addressed to its constituent bodies.

In carrying out the functions and tasks entrusted by law to the Chambers of Commerce, Unioncamere enters into framework agreements, memoranda of understandings and conventions with central government, national and local public authorities, while promoting and supporting cooperation between the Chamber system and business, consumer and workers’ organizations.

Based in Brussels, Unioncamere Europa acts as the institutional representative of Unioncamere and the reference point for the Italian Chamber system in Europe, facilitating access to EU programs and funded projects. It represents the Italian Chambers of Commerce before the European institutions and supports their active participation in major networks and partnerships.
